Track Facts
Formula One host, Hockenheimring, is located in Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany. Originally built in 1932 using forest roads, it has undergone a number of revisions - most notably the 2002 redesign by German architect Hermann Tilke. This saw the loss of the forest section to make a shorter, 2.482 mile long course, forced in order to remain competitive with competition from other track venues such as EuroSpeedway Lausitz.
